SRP Turtle Ceramic Bezel Inserts for Seiko Mod Builds
The SRP Turtle Re-issue is Seiko's 2016 Prospex revival of its 1970s 6306/6309 diver, first released as the SRP773, SRP775, SRP777 and SRP779. These flat ceramic inserts are made for its bezel, the one part of a Turtle you can recolor without opening the case.
Why Ceramic for an SRP Turtle Build
Ceramic is far harder than the steel bezel it sits in, so it resists the everyday scratches a bezel takes. Its colour is part of the material rather than a coating on top, so it doesn't fade in sunlight.
Dive Scale or Dual Time
- SRP style: the 60-minute dive scale, dotted at every minute. Turn the bezel until the triangle sits over the minute hand, and the scale reads the minutes that have passed. The Turtle's bezel turns one way only, so a knock can only shorten the time it shows. Gloss in blue or black (the black has no lume pip at 12), and sandblasted in blue or Batman black and blue.
- Dual time: a 12-hour scale, numerals 1 to 11 with a marker between each hour. Turn the bezel by the hour difference, and the hour hand shows local time on the dial and a second time zone on the bezel, in 12-hour time. Gloss in blue or black, and sandblasted in blue or Batman black and blue.
Gloss or Sandblasted Ceramic
Gloss ceramic reflects light, so the white numerals sit sharply against the colour. Sandblasting takes the mirror off the surface, so the ring holds one even matte tone instead of throwing a highlight as your wrist moves.
Fitting a Turtle Ceramic Bezel Insert
Each insert comes with one piece of double-sided adhesive, and the swap happens at the bezel, so the movement is never opened. Each insert lists its own inner and outer measurements, so check them against your bezel before ordering.

Every insert here is made for the Seiko SRP Turtle Re-issue, and none lists the Mini Turtle. The SKX007 and SKX013 have ceramic inserts of their own, sized for those watches.
