SKX013 Ceramic Bezel Inserts for Seiko Mod Builds
The SKX013 is the 38mm version of Seiko's SKX007 diver. Every insert here is ceramic, 33.6mm across and made for the SKX013's bezel, flat or slope, in a dive or 12-hour scale.
Why Ceramic for an SKX013 Build
Ceramic is far harder than the steel bezel it sits in, so it resists the everyday scratches a bezel takes. Its colour is part of the material rather than a coating on top, so it doesn't fade in sunlight.
Choose by Scale
- SKX style: the 60-minute dive scale, dotted at every minute. Turn the bezel until the triangle sits over the minute hand, and the scale reads the minutes that have passed. In black, dark blue, pink, lumed green, lumed Pepsi red and blue, and Batman black and blue.
- Sub style: the dive scale with the first fifteen minutes graduated, in sandblasted grey, green, and green with green lume. The Vintage Sub keeps five-minute batons only, with a red triangle at 12.
- Dual time: a 12-hour scale, numerals 1 to 11 with a marker between each hour. Turn the bezel by the hour difference, and the hour hand reads a second time zone off the bezel, in 12-hour time. In black, fully lumed black, dark blue, green, pink and Batman, plus a slope insert in green with gold markings.
- Yacht Master: slope inserts in silver and gun metal black, with the scale raised in the same tone rather than printed.
Flat or Slope
The profile is a choice of look, and it decides your crystal. We recommend the SKX013 double dome sapphire for a flat insert with the flat inserts, and the SKX013 double dome for a slope insert with the slope inserts.
Fitting an SKX013 Ceramic Bezel Insert
Each insert comes with one piece of double-sided adhesive, and the swap happens at the bezel, so the movement and dial stay where they are. Each insert lists its own inner and outer measurements, so check them against your bezel before ordering.
