Every marking on this face is the same black as the ground behind it — the numerals, the batons and all sixty dots included — so the scale reads by shadow rather than by contrast, and it comes and goes as your wrist turns. The finish is polished, which is what gives the shadows an edge to catch, and there's a round pip set into the triangle at 12. It drops into the SKX007 bezel you already own, so nothing under the crystal is touched.
