At 3.5mm this sits 0.6mm lower on the case than the standard Sub bezel, which is the entire reason to choose it and the one number to check before you order — that lost height is what takes your crystal out of double dome territory and into flat sapphire. What you get back is proportion: the same scalloped teeth and the same submariner outline on an SKX007 mod that no longer stands as tall, so the Seiko mod reads slimmer without a single dimension of the case changing. Polished steel keeps it closest to the stock look.
