Most of the blue on an SKX007 mod arrives in the insert — this is the rotating bezel itself, dark blue across the scalloped teeth and down the flanks with them. Polished to a full mirror, the colour behaves like metal rather than paint: it darkens in the shadow between the teeth and flares where they turn into the light. The rotating bezel gasket is already seated inside it, so the only part of your Seiko mod that changes is the rotating bezel you can see.
