Sandblasting takes the reflection out of the metal and leaves the colour behind — an even, matte dark blue carried across the scalloped teeth as readily as the flanks of the SKX007 bezel, with no bright edge anywhere on it. It is the quieter half of a pair: the same submariner-style outline as the polished R0746, on a surface that reads as texture instead of shine. A piece of 3M adhesive comes in the box, so the insert stage of your Seiko mod is already covered.
