This is the flattest and darkest of the four blue LX bezels — sandblasted dark blue absorbs the light instead of returning it, so the rotating bezel settles into the watch rather than drawing the eye out to the edge. It is the one that suits a Seiko mod built to be quiet: the notches still do their work in the hand, but in daylight they are the only break in a solid band of colour. The gasket that gives the bezel its turn is seated inside it already, and the adhesive for the insert is in the box.
