Colour is the cheapest thing you can change about a watch and the easiest to change back, which is why a green insert gets tried long before a green dial does. The track underneath is the SKX's own — batons on the five-minute marks, dots between them, numerals up to 50 — so the watch goes on doing exactly what it did and only the colour has moved. The bezel it goes into is the one already on your wrist, and the crystal above it should be a flat cut.
