A gold crown or a set of gold hands is a small area of warm metal that can read as a mistake on its own — the bezel is the widest surface on the watch, and putting gold there is what makes the rest of it look intentional. The markings are gold on gloss black across the full SKX layout, dotted at every minute, with a gold triangle at 12 and a white lume pip set inside it. At 1mm flat it takes a flat-cut crystal, and nothing else on the watch has to change to accept it.
