A gloss ceramic bezel throws a hard white highlight off its curve in almost any light, and that reflection is the thing people are trying to lose when they go looking for a sandblasted one — this is the matte version, so the ring holds an even dark grey-black instead. The markings are raised in gloss over that blasted ground, which is what still makes the SKX scale legible with no colour to help it, and a white pip at 12 gives you one fixed point to set the bezel by. Flat at 1.1mm for a flat-cut crystal, with the rest of the build left as it is.
